Shirley is an Ecuadorian woman. Who attended culinary school and graduated as a Hospitality Manager. She also took several courses in Argentina and Chile, gaining extensive experience in her field. In 2014, Shirley came to the US with on a one year contract at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in downtown Atlanta. During that year, she met her husband and got married, and after facing some challenges, she made the decision to start her own business. In 2020, she joined the "Avanzando Juntas" program at the Latin American Association. By the end of the program, her business was registered as Sweet Toppings Atl, an artisan bakery and catering company.

Sweet Toppings is a small Artisan business dedicated to the creation of edible art in the shape of gifts, custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies, cake pops, dessert tables, hors d’oeuvres, and much more, as well as providing services for catering needs. Sweet Toppings caters any type of event, from small parties to large events as well as weddings and corporate events.
